If you are right, then rest serene,
Nor fretted be because of scorn,
Or lies, or hate, or anything
That does the truth assail;
The time will come when you shall see
The wrong disperse, the wicked flee,
And ever Truth prevail.

The sun shines on, nor dims its light
Because some pigmy cloud of earth
Denies its presence, warmth, and might;
It still illumines day,
Serene and bright, content to show,
Despite the cloud, its warmth and glow
Are here to bless alway.

If you are right, then rest serene,
Nor fretted be because of lies,
Or scorn, or hate, or anything
That does the truth assail;
Await the time when all shall see
The wrong disperse, the wicked flee,
And only Truth prevail.
