Neue Aargatter Zeitung,

In a recent issue an article appeared under the heading "Solothurn—Signs of the Times," in which Christian Science is mentioned along with mysticism and mental suggestion.

Christian Science has nothing to do with either of these. It is no mysterious cult, but simply teaches the truth according to the Bible and as Christ Jesus taught and practiced it and commended it to his followers. He said: "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." "Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils"! In the textbook of Christian Science, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, we read (p. 80), "Science dispels mystery and explains extraordinary phenomena; but Science never removes phenomena from the domain of reason into the realm of mysticism;" and further (p. 442), "Neither animal magnetism nor hypnotism enters into the practice of Christian Science, in which truth cannot be reversed, but the reverse of error is true."
