After twelve years of receiving the good which Christian Science has unfolded to me, I think it is time to awaken and give thanks through one of our periodicals for the blessings I have received since taking up the study of this Science.

During the first week of reading Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, when I was staying at the house of a friend, I was healed of stomach trouble, which had worried me for about six months, and in the same week I was healed of the smoking habit of fifteen years' standing, through a friend's reading from Science and Health what our Leader says on pages 404 and 407 about tobacco. After this healing my wife and I visited the church nearest our home and took up the study of Christian Science in earnest, casting away all thoughts of drugs and relying on Truth to heal, in the way stated in Science and Health (p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized.
