I wish to express gratitude for the many blessings Christian Science has brought into my life. My heart is full of gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, who saw the light leading to a clearer understanding of God and man's sonship with Him, and fearlessly and lovingly founded our Church on the rock of Christ, Truth.

Through the study and application of this Science, I have been brought safely through "the valley of the shadow of death."

One night over five years ago, while I was driving at a high rate of speed, a herd of horses ran out on the highway as I was passing a truck coming from the opposite direction. My car hit one horse, then smashed into the side of a cattle trailer behind the truck. The car was demolished, and I was picked up for dead and taken to a hospital. There the doctors, upon examination, decided that my left arm would have to be amputated, because the elbow was smashed to a pulp, and that the right leg would be crippled, for the cord was severed.
