For some time I have wanted to give my testimony of the healing power of Christian Science. Twenty-six years ago I was instantaneously healed of a carbuncle on the wrist, after a doctor had told me it would take a long time to get rid of it.

The woman with whom I was living at the time was a Christian Scientist. About seven-thirty in the evening I told her what the doctor had said. She lovingly asked, "Would you like to have me help you?" I said "Yes," because I quickly thought it would not be very polite to say "No" to one who wanted to help me. I knew nothing about Christian Science. I went to my room, and about eleven o'clock she came to my door and said, "Now go to bed; it is time." I did just as I was told to do, although I was in terrible pain. I immediately fell asleep, and awoke at seven in the morning completely healed. I was so grateful that I tried to show her the wrist, but she did not seem to care to see it. I thought, "What a peculiar person you are, after doing something so wonderful and being so calm!"

Then I became interested in Christian Science. I wanted to know more about the healing truth. After studying for some time I could see how well the nothingness of the error was proved.
