With gratitude to God and to our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and with the hope that someone who may be seeking relief from a similar physical inharmony may be helped, this testimony is given.

Through the application of Christian Science in my family, broken bones have been restored to normalcy, and diphtheria, mumps, and many other discords have been healed. One experience, however, stands out in my memory, because it required much study and effort to apply the truth before harmony was realized.

While picking blueberries I caught my foot under a root and fell. My ankle was sprained, and my face was severely cut. Christian Science help was requested, and a practitioner lovingly began treatment. In three days I could walk, but my face remained the same. There was no pain, though the gash continued to discharge for two months. During this trial Mrs. Eddy's statement on page 463 of "Science andHealth with Key to the Scriptures" was constantly in my thought: "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive." One night I felt something on my pillow, and upon examination it proved to be a stick, as large as a knitting needle and about three quarters of an inch long, which had been embedded in my face.
