You have been so generous through many years in your attitude towards Christian Science and its teachings that I am sure you will find space for an amplification of your reference to Christian Science in a recent editorial on national affairs.
In order that persons who are interested in becoming members of The Mother Church may have information concerning applications, it will be helpful if branch churches and societies will make reference to the following data among the notices read in their church services.
It
is recorded that when Solomon became king of Israel he prayed, "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad.
In order to be better prepared to give spiritual help in the Army or Navy through Christian Science literature and in other ways, it is desired to secure the names and present complete mail addresses of all officers and enlisted men in the military, naval, or air service of the United States who are Christian Scientists, or who have shown an interest in Christian Science.
Churches and societies in the United States and Canada wishing to give lectures during the first two months of the next lecture year, namely July and August, 1941, are requested to inform the Board of Lectureship before May 24.
I desire through this testimony to express my deepest gratitude to God for Christian Science, and for the proof of its truth and healing power in my experience.
