Lecturer: James G. Rowell; introduced by Mrs. Mary Grace Nasmyth, who said:—

As it is related in John's Gospel, Jesus told his disciples of another Comforter to come, even "the Spirit of truth," which would teach the receptive thought all things. His words convey that the coming of this truth to the human consciousness would lead mankind up and out of its ignorance and fears. And we gather elsewhere from Jesus' teachings that this liberation is the result of our understanding and realization of the truth; for did he not say that knowing the truth would make us free?
