I am deeply grateful for Christian Science and for our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. Because I desire to be of help to others who may be seeking help and encouragement, I should like to tell a little of what Christian Science has done for me and mine.

When I was twelve years old, I went with my grandmother to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting in a Christian Science church in St. Paul, Minnesota. This meeting proved to be a wonderful turning point in my experience. It made me very happy, and I marveled at what I heard there. I caught my first glimpse of Christian Science. We began the study of this Science in our home, and many changes took place. Sickness, fear, discord, limitation, and sorrow gave place to health, harmony, freedom, and joy, as we learned of God's omnipotence and goodness.

One of the first healings I recall occurred during my early high school days. Severe headaches, insomnia, and a nervous twitching of the head completely disappeared, and appendicitis was quickly healed, with the help of my mother, who had become a practitioner.
