I first heard of Christian Science over twenty-five years ago, when its healing truth was brought into our home by the captain of the naval ship to which my husband was attached. My sister-in-law was in the last stages of tuberculosis and had been given up by her doctor. After a week's treatment in our house she returned to her own home, where the complete healing took place within a few months.

For a time we attended the Christian Science church wherever we were, but did little reading and studying. My case was one where the seed of Truth, once sown, lies dormant, but springs up into strength and life when human resources fail, and the tired heart at last turns to God.
