Deeds, Not Words

I said . . ."If I could speak, or write it down,Could but expressAll that is hid within of tenderness,Of love and joy . . .But no words come, and never one can guessWhat I would give, if I found words."

Yet what are words?Far better actions speak:The power of loving heedfulnessTo help the weak;Compassion, giving, seeking no return;Love that must burnTo light a living, constant flameWhose radiance is the sameFor all eternity,A beacon lifted up for all to see.
