Lecturer: John Henry Weer; introduced by Mrs. Charlotte Leonard, who said:—

In the book of Malachi we read: "Have we not all one father? hath not one God created us?" The truthful answer to these questions provides the common ground on which we meet this evening.

Twenty years ago I attended my first Wednesday evening testimony meeting at a Christian Science church. The inspiration that came to me then impelled me to attend other services, and to secure a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I read it earnestly, and was comforted by these words (p. 406): "The Bible contains the recipe for all healing." I had an opportunity to prove this shortly afterward, when I became ill with pleurisy. I asked help of a Christian Science practitioner, and was healed in three days. I was well rewarded for being willing to trust God, and the succeeding years have been filled with proofs of His love and tender care.
