I am truly grateful for what Christian Science has done for me, and for the great help and comfort I have received from its teachings, after passing through a period of much pain and discomfort.

Five years ago I was taken very ill while at work, and a doctor was sent for. Upon examination, he said that I was suffering from appendicitis and rupture, and should undergo an operation. I said I was not then prepared for one. He told me to follow his advice as soon as possible, or else there would be an abscess on the appendix, which would necessitate a more serious operation. As time went on, an abscess formed and caused me great suffering. The doctor was again called in, but could not do anything for me unless I consented to an operation. I wore three special belts, but to no avail; and I was told that I should have to wear them always. It is with a heart full of thanks to God and to the kind friends who introduced me to Christian Science, that I offer this testimony. Willing and loving help was given me, and after three months I was able to discard the belts. Since then I have experienced no further pain or discomfort.

I cannot fully express in words my gratitude for all the help which I have received through Christian Science. I also wish to thank the practitioner and friends for their loving help. I am unceasingly grateful to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, and to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower.
