In view of his nom de plume, your correspondent "Agnostic"...

Eastern Daily Press

In view of his nom de plume, your correspondent "Agnostic" possibly does not believe in the first chapter of Genesis. This chapter, however, is accepted by Christian Scientists as the truth about spiritual creation, and it is clear therefrom that creation did not take place "in the year 4000 B.C. at nine o'clock in the morning."

In reference to this chapter, Mrs. Eddy in her book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" writes (p. 502), "The infinite has no beginning;" and on the next page refers to the spiritual or only true creation as consisting of "the unfolding of spiritual ideas and their identities."

The first chapter of Genesis shows that it was not the man of this creation who spoilt "the perfection of the world."
