Guidance

Have you come to a "Red sea" place in your life,
Where there's nothing that you can do,
You can't turn aside, you can't go back,
There's only one way—straight through?

Does your heart grow faint and your courage wane,
As you gaze on the raging sea?
Then remember God's love that stilled the storm,
On the waters of Galilee.

Has He changed since then? No, He changeth not,
He will bring you by some new way;
He doth guard and guide, in His love you abide
As safely as yesterday.

If you listening wait, you will hear again
His promise that brings release:
My presence shall ever go with thee there,
And I will give thee peace.

With your hand in His, He will guide you through
By a way you have never trod,
No foe can harm you, no waters alarm you
As you walk through the sea, dry shod.
