When Christian Science was first brought to my attention, I treated it with skepticism and ridicule, but I became somewhat interested in it several years later, during my last year of training in the hospital. When I was leaving for war work, as a medical nurse, a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy was given to me, and I was surprised to learn that the nurse who was traveling with me also had been given a copy by a friend.

Upon my return to this country I decided to have Christian Science help for a cough, which had continued off and on during my ten months overseas, although I had received medical help during that period. However, I did not ask for treatment until the coughing became incessant, day and night, and I had all the symptoms of tuberculosis. This healing took place after several months.

During the intervening years many medical beliefs and laws have been destroyed, some with the aid of a practitioner, and many through my own understanding, gained by the study of our textbook. I should like to relate a few of these, hoping they will be helpful to others.
