Christian Science is Science, and is applicable to humanity. When this Science is understood and practiced, it is found to be efficacious in healing sickness and all other discordant conditions which assail mankind. Mrs. Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 259), "The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea,—perfect God and perfect man,—as the basis of thought and demonstration." In mathematics, a correct grasp of the principle and rules governing this science is necessary to bring about the correct solution of mathematical problems. Should anyone doubt the fact that two multiplied by two equals four, and believe the answer to be five, until this false belief is corrected the right answer could not be obtained. Failure to obtain the correct answer does not lie in the science itself, but in lack of understanding of it.
