With sincere gratitude for numberless benefits received...
With sincere gratitude for numberless benefits received I submit the following testimony.
Christian Science was first presented to me by a cousin with whom I lived while attending high school. I had had whooping cough for a week, and was completely healed after one visit to a practitioner.
I did not study Christian Science until about eight years later; at that time I was unable to walk for many weeks, owing to deep sores on my lower limbs. My husband came home one evening and said he had met a friend who wanted me to try Christian Science. I told him about my healing of whooping cough by a practitioner who then lived about two hundred miles from us. He suggested that I write for absent treatment, which I did, and within two days I was walking; in fact, I was entirely healed, and to prove my healing, during my husband's absence from home, I shoveled from our front porch to the sidewalk snow which was a foot deep. I suffered no ill effect from this exercise, and never have had a return of the trouble.
