In a recent issue of your good daily a book review gives a wrong impression of Christian Science.

Christian Science is based on the teachings of Christ Jesus and has nothing in common with occultism or Rosicrucianism. Today, as in Jesus' time, the physical healing accomplished by Christian Science results not from the effect of one so-called human mind over another, nor from suggestion or will power, but from the operation in human consciousness of the truth about God, the one and only Mind, which heals both sin and disease.

Speaking to the Athenians who had dedicated an altar "TO THE UNKNOWN GOD," Paul said, "Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you."

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 596), "Paganism and agnosticism may define Deity as 'the great unknowable;' but Christian Science brings God much nearer to man, and makes Him better known as the All-in-all, forever near."
