In view of certain remarks in a recent issue of the Lennox Herald, I should like to reiterate what Christian Science teaches regarding Mind.

Christian Science acknowledges only one Mind, God. From this perfect divine Mind only good can come, and, as man is the image and likeness of God, as recorded in the first chapter of Genesis, man must reflect the perfection of the Mind that created him.

Mortal mind, or the mind of mortals, being imperfect, is enmity against God. It is the carnal mind, of which St. Paul speaks in his epistle to the Romans. This so-called mind must be put off. This can be done only by putting on the Mind of Christ.

In the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy has written (p. 340): "One infinite God, good, unifies men and nations; constitutes the brotherhood of man; ends wars; fulfils the Scripture, 'Love thy neighbor as thyself;' annihilates pagan and Christian idolatry,—whatever is wrong in social, civil, criminal, political, and religious codes; equalizes the sexes; annuls the curse on man, and leaves nothing that can sin, suffer, be punished or destroyed."
