A certain reference in a recent issue betrays a misapprehension of Christian Science healing and of its methods.

Christian Science treatment is prayer, the spiritual understanding of God and of man's relation to Him, and in this spiritual healing material remedies have no place. As Mrs. Eddy has written in her textbook of Christian Science (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Pref., p. xi), "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus' time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation."
