It is with a heart overflowing with joy and gratitude that I offer this testimony. For several years I had been suffering from arthritis in the worst form, also heart trouble, and a condition of the stomach which did not let me retain any food. I could not walk across the room without the greatest effort, could not use my fingers, and could not lift my arms above my head. Finally, my spine was affected and I was not able to move my head. Thus I was forced to sit or lie always in the same position until helped into another.

I had had Christian Science treatment off and on; and while I felt I was being helped at times, I seemed to grow steadily worse. In those dark days I kept close to God, and I knew that there was help for me if only I could realize it.

Members of my family were interested in Christian Science. but although they tried to help me, it seemed I had to fight my battle alone. At last I seemed to be quite overwhelmed by error, and both my husband and I accepted the thought that, humanly speaking, my days were numbered.
