Reliance upon Divine Principle

THE Science of true being is based upon divine Principle, God, the infinite creator who creates all and maintains all through spiritual law. Principle is Mind, Spirit, the one and only perfect cause. Cause being good, effect must manifest order, wisdom, intelligence, and immortality.

The universe, inclusive of man, is the effect or expression of divine Principle. Man and the universe is God's infinite idea. Man, therefore, is in perfect harmony with Principle. In obedience to spiritual law he expresses the perfection and power of God.

Because the carnal mind's claim to power is false, human experience can be brought under the rule of divine Principle and the seeming manifestations of evil destroyed. The teachings and works of Christ Jesus show the way. Christian Science, discovered, founded, and presented to the world by Mary Baker Eddy, sets forth positive and scientific rules for the demonstration of divine Principle. Political, social, and economic problems — whether in international or national affairs — can be surely and effectively solved by the application of these rules. Individual problems of health, home, business, church, or school afford opportunities to demonstrate spiritual realities in place of the supposititious evils of the carnal mind.
