I did not take up the study of Christian Science for any physical healing for myself, but rather that I might help one very dear to me who was in great distress both physically and mentally, and who had asked for help from a practitioner. I had always been a faithful church member, but had never been satisfied with the theological views I had been taught. As soon as I began to read Science and Healty by Mrs. Eddy, I knew I had found what I wanted, and since that time Truth has been my only physician.

I have had many physical healings. One of my first was of headaches, which had troubled me for thirty years. These were completely overcome with the help of a practitioner. At another time, a hand crushed in an electric wringer was completely healed, without any surgical work, simply through the help of a practitioner and strict adherence to the truth as taught by Mrs. Eddy.

Christian Science has been a great protection to me also. It was necessary for me to do considerable driving, sometimes late at night and alone, but I never had any fear and never experienced any difficulty that was not lovingly met. Sorrow for the loss of a dear one was overcome with the help of a practitioner. My blessings are too numerous to mention, and my gratitude for them is beyond words to express. I can only show my gratitude by trying, to the best of my understanding, to help others find the joy and peace that Christian Science has brought to me.
