In reply to a criticism of Christian Science appearing in a recent issue, I should like to say that your correspondent is mistaken in his belief about this religion. Christian Science is essentially Christian. One of its Tenets, containing the purest Christian ethics, reads as follows: "And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure" (Church Manual by Mary Baker Eddy, p. 16).
