I did not come into Christian Science for healing, but to gain a better understanding of God, after a member of my family had experienced a healing through reading Science and Health by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. That was over thirty years ago.

At first I thought that one could not attend the Christian Science Sunday School after the age of fifteen, so I went to church. Later I was happy to learn that Mrs. Eddy had provided for pupils up to the age of twenty years, so it was my very great privilege to have four years in a Sunday school of a branch church, for which I shall always be most grateful.

I did not join the church on leaving the Sunday school, so there was a drifting period of about three years, during which time I married. When our son was two years old, he was ill with grippe, and after he had coughed continually for hours with no relief from medicine, I saw the time had come to ask for Christian Science treatment. This was lovingly given, and there was immediate relief. A few days later my husband asked for help in Christian Science, for the same trouble, and he too was healed quickly. Christian Science has been our constant source of help in overcoming the seeming difficulties of a family of five, two other sons having been born under Christian Science treatment.
