The Lectures

Introductions to Lectures

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (First Church).

Lecturer: Charles V. Winn; introduced by Mrs. E. Marie Anderson Fenner, who said:—

Many years ago, when Jesus of Nazareth walked among men, the Pharisees one day brought to him a woman who, they said, had sinned. They added, "Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?" We are all acquainted with what Jesus presently said, "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." At this reply the woman's accusers slipped away one by one, and Jesus said to her: "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?" She answered, "No man, Lord." Then said Jesus to her, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
