During the so-called influenza epidemic in 1918, I was given up by two physicians, who said I would live only a few hours. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and in a few days I had a complete healing.

After this healing I turned from material medicine and relied entirely on Christian Science, and I can truthfully say that it has never failed me in any hour of need. Being a hotel employee, and seeing much drinking and smoking, I am grateful to have been free from both those habits all these years. With deep gratitude I can say that during the past years I have had physical healings, continuous financial supply, and much progress in the transformation of character. Christian Science reveals the absolute truth about God and man, and I know that this truth can be successfully applied to every human need.

I am working to know more, and do more for the glorious Cause of Christian Science. I wish to express my sincere gratitude for the loving practitioners who have helped me along the way, for the Wednesday evening testimony meetings, the literature, the lecturers, and for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church. For our Leader's unselfishness I am profoundly grateful.
