I wish at this time to express my deep and profound gratitude to Christian Science for the many blessings that have come to me through its application.

After physicians had advised my father that there was nothing left for my mother but death, she was healed of inflammatory rheumatism. A Christian Science practitioner was called, and my mother was up and around the house in one week and was completely healed in about six weeks. This occurred when I was approximately ten years old. Although I was reared in a Christian Science atmosphere, I did not take up the study of this Science, but continued on my selfish way, relying on material remedies and indulging in false material pleasures, saying to myself, "I will put aside Christian Science until I need it."

In 1913 I suffered from an injury incurred in a bad fall, and after exhausting all material remedies, I was advised by physicians that I must undergo an operation, and that it was problematical whether this would be of any benefit. They also stated that I should very likely be an invalid for the rest of my days. I then turned to Christian Science, and with the aid of a practitioner I was healed. Unfortunately I was not sufficiently grateful for this wonderful healing, and I soon drifted back into my old habits and turned away from Truth.
