"Come and dine"

The Christ is giving now the invitation
To sacramental feast for all prepared,
The bread of Truth, Love's wine of inspiration,
In silent prayer so lovingly is shared.

We come, not halting, nor with vain oblation;
We offer with humility our rue;
A deep desire for utmost consecration
To keep our daily thought sincere and true.

We come and kneel in silent adoration,
Desiring that the Christ may now appear,
We hear the "still small voice" in salutation:
My joy I give to you; lo, I am here.
