Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

During the year, eighteen references to Christian Science were made in various newspapers. Seven correction were written, all of which were printed. Thirty newspapers and periodicals had translated articles from the Monitor, all giving credit to the source.

A pupil in a mercantile gymnasium, who is interested in Christian Science, had to write about the movement in our time, which was of most interest to her. She wrote a very good essay on Christian Science, explaining why it appealed so much to her. A pupil of the Sunday school of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Oslo, who is exempted from the religious instruction in the public school, was asked by her teacher to tell the class about her religion. She wrote a brief statement of Christian Science and, after showing it to a practitioner, read it to the class. The teacher took considerable interest in it and received some copies of the Scandinavian Herald for further investigation.

A lecture on Christian Science was delivered and was afterwards read to the audience in Norwegian translation. One paper published a full translation of the lecture, and shorter reports appeared in other papers.
