From Letters, Substantially as Published

I read with interest the letter of your correspondent,...

in the Westmorland Gazette

I read with interest the letter of your correspondent, "Orthodox," in a recent issue, and ask space for a brief comment on his remarks.

A study of the chapter entitled "Genesis" in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, will show that it is not the case that Christian Science is based on the "fundamental fallacy" of accepting "the story of Genesis as actual history."

The teaching of Christian Science is based on the understanding that God, good, is Spirit, and that the real man in His image and likeness is spiritual and perfect, sinless and healthy. Holding this in view, it will be found that apparent "inconsistencies" and "fallacies" vanish when measured in relation to this standard of reality.
