I have received so much good from the testimonies in the periodicals that I should like to add mine. I took up Christian Science for the healing of tuberculosis of the lungs. I was also suffering from a severe stomach trouble. The stomach trouble was healed in six months. Just when the healing took place I do not know; I suddenly realized one day that I was eating what I wanted without suffering any pain.

The healing of tuberculosis was very slow. I am most grateful that this forced me to work to gain some understanding of God. During the period that the healing was taking place I was healed of much wrong thinking and much that was disagreeable in character and disposition.

I have also been healed of influenza, bad colds, headaches, and many minor difficulties. I should like to tell of one healing of a very severe cold. Before I took up the study of Christian Science, I was subject to colds quite frequently through the winter. This one came upon me suddenly. My eyes were swollen, almost shut. I was employed at the time. I called for help from a practitioner, who told me to affirm the truth and deny the error. That day, each time anyone would mentally the cold to me or sympathize with me, I would mentally deny it, and when I was tempted to give up and go home, I still clung to the truth and emphatically denied the error. That night when I retired I appeared to be no better, but I fell asleep still declaring the truth and denying the error. When I awoke in the morning my first thought was, Do I still have a cold? I said out loud, "No." That was the end of it. I was entirely free and went to work that day. I shall never forget this healing, for it has always been a source of inspiration to me. It proved what Mrs. Eddy says on page 167 of Science and Health: "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized."
