The first time I attended a Christian Science service was on a Easter morning. I immediately felt at home, and Mrs. Eddy's hymn (Poems, p. 14) beginning, "Shepherd, show me how to go," was an inspiration to me.

I took a copy of The Herald of Christian Science (German edition) home with me and read it with interest. Then my brother sent me a copy of Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, which I read every spare moment. About six months later I began to study the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly.

I had been afflicted with headaches for more than fifteen years, but after having treatment from a practitioner for two weeks I was completely healed. At the same time my little daughter was healed of an infected ear, which had discharged for more than three years. She was a thin, undernourished child, suffering from adenoids and infected tonsils. After she had had Christian Science treatment for two weeks, a school physician pronounced her well. She began to attend a Christian Science Sunday School and to study the Lesson-Sermons, and has remained well. She now attends high school and is strong and robust.
