My first healing in Christian Science was that of a fractured kneecap. Shortly after, there followed a healing which will always be outstanding to me. I asked for help and was healed of a lung congestion and fever; and with this healing disappeared the smoking habit, for the overcoming of which I had spent much money and used great will power. For a short while after this instantaneous healing I was somewhat bewildered, but was positive of the healing power of Christian Science.
My next healing was of a condition which had every indication of being stomach ulceration. I had first to be healed of hate. It was very easy for me to express love after this healing.
Later I was healed of lack and limitation. With fifty others, I had been laid off by a firm for which I had worked for over fourteen years. After being mesmerized by the thought of depression, and half-heartedly accepting the truth of conditions, I was in the wilderness of confusion and doubt. But through the understanding which Christian Science gives I am now steadily employed under Civil Service regulations and the merit system at a very fair salary.
