For all the benefits I have received from Christian Science...

For all the benefits I have received from Christian Science since I was guided to take up its study, I am very grateful.

I should like particularly to tell of a recent healing. It was necessary that I should visit the dentist, owing to old fillings having disintegrated. My gums at the time appeared to be in a very bad condition and to show signs of pyorrhea. For this reason my family thought that all my teeth would have to be extracted. Because of the mental atmosphere in the home, I thought it wise to seek the aid of a Christian Science practitioner. When I did so, all fear immediately left me. The dentist said that my gums were in a bad condition but that they were not diseased, and on a second visit he said my gums were in perfect condition. I visited the dentist seven times in all and, contrary to what is sometimes the case, all the visits were harmonious.

I should also like to relate another healing I had a short time ago. I awakened during the night with a high temperature, and felt ill with pains in my head and stomach. Each time I tried to get up I became violently sick. This went on until noon, when my daughter came home. I asked her to telephone for help, and again the practitioner's work quickly overcome the difficulty.

I was also privileged to witness a healing my daughter had of a disease of the finger, called whiltlow. Christian Science aid was sought, and in two days the whole thing disappeared. In the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health, Mrs. Eddy says (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive;" and she also states (Pref., p. xi), "The physical healing of Christian Science results now, as in Jesus' time, from the operation of divine Principle, before which sin and disease lose their reality in human consciousness and disappear as naturally and as necessarily as darkness gives place to light and sin to reformation."

I am deeply grateful to God for the consecrated lives of our practitioners, from whom we receive such loving help and encouragement. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, and for the opportunity of helping a little to spread this wonderful truth.—(Mrs.) Florence Kenyon, Brooklands, Cheshire, England.

I am happy to verify the above statement, and am most grateful for the healing of my finger.

(Miss) Joan D. Kenyon
