Among the Churches

Current Notes

Mobile, Alabama (First Church).—Dedication services of First Church of Christ, Scientist, Mobile, which were held on Sunday, October 2, 1938, were cause for congratulation to members of this church.

The occasion was the celebration of disposing of the final indebtedness incurred in building the church, for a Christian Science church cannot be dedicated until it is free from debt.

The Christian Science church is, like churches of other denominations, a factor in the upbuilding of character, morality, and good conduct in this community.

Whenever such an institution shows progress and accomplishment in its mission, the community in which it serves is benefited in proportion. For that reason, as well as for the friendship we feel for First Church of Christ, Scientist, Mobile, we offer our congratulations.—The Mobile Press Register (Editorial).
