One of the first healings I received in Christian Science...

One of the first healings I received in Christian Science was that of quinsy sore throat and influenza. The throat condition was a very painful one, and I was unable to swallow without extreme suffering.

Previous to this I had had a slight interest in Christian Science and had been reading the periodicals. I had also read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, but had never relied upon Christian Science for healing. A relative who was a Christian Scientist now offered to help me. References from the textbook were given me to study, and treatment was begun. Several days passed, and I seemed to grow worse. I was afraid and called a physician, but he could not come. Then, after a few moments, I decided to call my relative again, who gave me words of comfort and assurance, and said that he would come right over. Before long I was dressed and at the door to meet him, completely free from pain and weakness. I then knew that I had experienced an instantaneous healing.

Since that time I have had numerous other healings, such as of a bone felon on the thumb, bronchial trouble, a boil inside the nose, and influenza, and financial needs have been met. I was also healed of sorrow when one near and dear to me passed on.
