I wish to express my sincere gratitude for what Christian Science...
I wish to express my sincere gratitude for what Christian Science has done for my family and me. Through the application of this Science, we have had healings of pneumonia, scarlet fever, severe burns, blood poisoning, fractured bones, and infantile paralysis. The healing of infantile paralysis took place four years ago, when our younger boy was seven years old. He was completely paralyzed, being unable to move any part of his body, and when I asked a practitioner for help he was in convulsions. From the first treatment on, the child showed improvement, the convulsions stopped, and he gradually regained control of his arms and legs. One morning he told me that he wanted to walk, so I dressed him, got him on his feet, and he started out. He laughed with joy when he found he could walk again. As required by the law of the state, I took him to a physician before returning him to school. After examining him thoroughly, the physician pronounced him in excellent condition. Although he had lost considerable time from school, the boy passed with good grades at the end of the term. He won second place at the school races two years ago. About a year after his healing he was accepted for insurance after a special examination by a doctor sent out by an insurance company. I am very grateful for this healing. It has done a great deal of good in impressing others with the fact that Christian Science heals.
I am grateful to God; to Christ Jesus, the Way-shower; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. I am also grateful to the practitioner for her loving, faithful work, and to the Christian Science nurse who so lovingly helped us in a time of need.
(Mrs.) Marian Stephens, Los Angeles, California.
