In Rjukan Dagblad recently an article contains these words: "Even so cheerful and optimistic a religion as Christian Science has found out that there are diseases which one should not attempt to heal by religious means."

Here the writer is misinformed. Christian Science has never made such an admission. Diseases of all kinds have been healed through Christian Science; and testimonies of such healings may be heard in Christian Science churches all over the world, or read in the weekly and monthly periodicals of the movement.

Healing by prayer as it was practiced by Jesus, his disciples, and the early Christians, and is now restored in Christian Science, is on an entirely different plane from modern medical and psychological treatment and is not subject to their limitations. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 1), "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love."
