The
student of the sacred Scriptures is impressed with the assurance, running like a golden thread through their entire length, that peace is a divinely mental state, a state of consciousness; that peace, permanent and joyous, is within reach of all, of nations as well as of individuals, when it is scientifically sought, that is, in the way of God's appointing.
In the thirty-second chapter of Isaiah we find the prophet's words, "My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.

In an interesting article a clergyman speaks in a kindly way of the many successes which Christian Science has had in the healing of sickness and suffering, but his remarks show that he has not really understood the nature of Christian Science healing.
In a report of a lecture by a clergyman in a recent issue, reference was made to Christian Science as a "menace.
In the fourth of the series, "What I Believe," the writer, in referring to evil, says, "I can see no attraction in the proposal of Christian Science to pretend that it is not there," et cetera.
In Rjukan Dagblad recently an article contains these words: "Even so cheerful and optimistic a religion as Christian Science has found out that there are diseases which one should not attempt to heal by religious means.
Several items needing correction have appeared in the press of our state this year.
The
age in which we live is frequently referred to as a mechanical age.
