In your issue of September 27 you published an article in which some erroneous statements were made with regard to Christian Science and Mrs. Eddy. I should be glad if you would grant me space in your paper to correct these statements.

In "Retrospection and Introspection" Mrs. Eddy has written on page 31, "From my very childhood I was impelled, by a hunger and thirst after divine things,—a desire for something higher and better than matter, and apart from it,—to seek diligently for the knowledge of God as the one great and ever-present relief from human woe."

Christian Scientists do not worship Mrs. Eddy as a divinity, as your writer claims. They love and revere her for the great work she did in giving to the world this healing truth, which has saved many thousands of people from pain and given hope to so many who were without hope in this world.
