with the problem of the rising cost of living, a student of Christian Science found herself becoming fearful and discouraged.

his earthly ministry Christ Jesus made it very clear to his followers that in order to escape the injurious effects of limiting and enslaving beliefs they must continually be on guard against wrong thinking.

the opening lines in the chapter on Prayer in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, writes, "The prayer that reforms the sinner and heals the sick is an absolute faith that all things are possible to God,—a spiritual understanding of Him, an unselfed love.

I respectfully request space in your paper to correct some false statements about Christian Science, made by a clergyman and recorded in a recent issue.
In your issue of September 27 you published an article in which some erroneous statements were made with regard to Christian Science and Mrs.
A gentleman, writing in your recent issue, confuses Christian Science with faith cure and telepathy.

"Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy contains the complete statement of Christian Science and it is known as the Christian Science textbook.
Healings
of all manner of disease have taken place through the spiritual understanding which Christian Science gives.
When
Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, addressed a large number of her followers from a balcony of her home at Pleasant View, Concord, New Hampshire, in June, 1903, she quoted from Psalms these familiar words: "Trust in the Lord, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Because of the many blessings received through reading the testimonies in our periodicals I should like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me.
