Joyfully I testify to the healing power of Truth. In less than a week I was freed from a so-called incurable disease. This healing took place as follows: I was having my apartment repainted, and while this work was being done I had violent intestinal attacks with vomiting. I did my scientific mental work alone for five weeks, without any result. Then I asked the help of a friend, who told me that the paint could not interfere with my harmony. She assured me that I lived in Mind, and promised to work for me. I felt an immediate improvement in my condition. I could eat, sleep, and resume my normal activities. However, I was not yet healed.

I had another conversation with my friend, and spoke to her of a serious case of heart trouble from which I had been suffering for about three years, and which made me very much afraid of being taken with some incurable disease. I was having heart attacks during which I breathed with great difficulty. My friend showed me the unreality of this error. I realized then the omnipotence and omnipresence of God's love. A day or two later the sickness and all the disorders it had caused disappeared. Health was re-established and has been permanent.

I have been studying Christian Science for the last seventeen years, and except at the time of the erroneous belief mentioned above, have never needed treatment for sickness.
