Over fifteen years ago Christian Science came into my life through my eldest sister, and it has been my desire for a long time to express through the periodicals my gratitude for it. This Science was invaluable to me during the time of the passing on of my parents, and I thank God daily for courage, as I know now that it was courage which helped me to face responsibilites. I realize that through the earnest study and application of this truth we are enabled to "do all things through Christ which strengtheneth" us. I am grateful for the valuable lesson I have learned that each and every one of us is dependent on God for strength and courage.
Christian Science has taught me to replace resentment with love, criticism with charity, and willfulness with understanding. I am truly thankful that I am being forced to see that home, companionship, and place are in Spirit; and the results are true happiness and contentment in what at one time would have seemed a most unsatisfactory environment. I am grateful for the healing of severe backaches and also of eczema, which had troubled me for about eight years; it disappeared suddenly and I do not even know just when the healing took place.
Words fail to express my gratitude to God for His omnipotence, to Christ Jesus, our Way-shower, and to Mary Baker Eddy, who has done much for all mankind in giving us the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." My sincere gratitude goes out to the practitioners for their ever-ready assistance. I am grateful for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church, and for every activity in which I have shared; for the literature, which is such an impersonal help at all times; and to all those who have so willingly and lovingly helped me along the way from sense to Soul. I rejoice daily in divine, ever-present perfection.—(Miss) Elizabeth Alice Bezner, Queens Village, Long Island, New York.
