"Thou maintainest my lot"

[Written Especially for Young People]

Abundant activity and useful employment are the natural rights of every individual. These are definitely assured, according to the words from Psalms, "The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot." A dictionary defines "lot" as "the part in life that comes to one without his planning." The fullness of divine Love is man's heritage.

Through Christian Science we learn that the mortal beliefs of fate, hazard, and so-called circumstances beyond one's control, have no power whatever over the true thinker who lives what he knows.

What wonderful freedom from fear and uncertainty is possible to young people who are enabled through Christian Science to realize that one never has to worry as to what the future holds in store, but only to know confidently and gratefully that there is no limit to God's goodness and love, manifestations of which appear in proportion to one's readiness to be governed by divine Principle!
