My first healing in Christian Science took place over thirty years ago. I was under the care of the best physicians in a large city in the Middle West. Their diagnosis was chronic appendicitis, but upon operating they found an abscess on the spine. After several months, as I was not recovering from the operation, I was sent to an internationally known bone specialist, who put a steel brace on me, and said I should need to wear it for from one to three years. I wore it for a few months, suffering more all the time, and for six weeks before having Christian Science treatment I wore a corset at night as tight as the strings could be pulled.

A member of the family, knowing that our next-door neighbor was a student of Christian Science, asked me to go in and talk with her, which I did. I asked her for help, which she lovingly gave. She asked me not to wear the brace. In about three weeks I began to improve and be very comfortable, and in a few months I was greatly improved, but not healed. This neighbor, having been a student of Christian Science but a short time, thought I had better have help from an experienced practitioner, which I did. One morning, two weeks later, I found I was healed and entirely free. I can truthfully say that from that day I have never had an ache or pain in my back, and it has been very strong.

Soon after this I was healed of sick headaches, which I had often had since I was a young girl. I am most grateful for these healings and the many I have had since.
