Extracts from Report of Christian Science Committee for State Institutions and Agencies in New Jersey

This Committee, which has been appointed by the churches to look after the Christian Science activities in the state institutions of New Jersey, is happy to report a wider interest in, and more intelligent appreciation of, the work by those whom it is aimed to benefit. The close attention of the men who attend the services and their expressions of gratitude for The Christian Science Monitor and the Christian Science Sentinel, as well as for the services, are a constant source of encouragement to the consecrated workers who give their time and thought to this work. The wardens, superintendents, and guards in these institutions make frequent and favorable comment in regard to these Christian Science activities.

The announcement is made at each service that these activities are conducted under the auspices of the Christian Science churches and societies in New Jersey, which are branches of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, and that the Lesson-Sermon which is read in that institution is the same as that which is read in all Christian Science churches throughout the world.
