Out of sincere gratitude for various healings in Christian Science I give this testimony. A few years ago, after we had been interested in this Science for just a short time, our five-year-old daughter was taken with inflammation of the middle ear. The child suffered from terrible, pain, had a very high fever, and cried the whole day.

After the doctor had gone I telephoned to a practitioner and asked for help. This was immediately given me in a very loving manner. I could see its effect immediately, for the child soon became more quiet, her crying stopped, and she went to sleep. I knew that our child was healed in that moment. The next morning I had her get up and I went with her to the doctor to have her pronounced well. The doctor looked at me quite incredulously, told me that I was very foolish, and that she refused all responsibility. Thereupon she examined the child and merely said: "Well, where are the red spots and the inflammation in the ear? And her pulse is perfectly quiet and normal. This puzzles me!" It was no puzzle to us, for we knew quite well that our child had been healed through the declaration and application of the truth, as Christian Science presents it.
