It is with gratitude for and love of Christian Science that I write this testimony.

I had been suffering for thirteen years from severe bowel trouble, and had been relying on the doctor and medicine for my healing. Each attack seemed to be worse than the previous one. At last the doctor said he could do no more for me and I should have to undergo an operation.

A friend told me about Christian Science, and after reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I found that "when man is governed by God, the ever-present Mind who understands all things, man knows that with God all things are possible" (p. 180). After studying for a few weeks I was healed. This was over three years ago, and I have had no return of the trouble.
